The Barking College Student Council is made up of Course Representatives, the Student Union Executive and Club and Society Members.

Its role is to discuss and decide Student Union Policy and it is the supreme governing body of the union.

The Student Council meet up four times each academic year, although if needed any member of the Council can call for an Emergency meeting to discuss any serious matters arising.

Just a quick message to let you know who I am and where you can contact me should you need any assistance or advice during your time at college.

I am employed by the College to work with others to improve your experience whilst here this includes giving informal advice and support to students on a one to one basis but to also organise different college events and activities where groups of students can get involved.

One of my main roles is to work closely with the student union executive committee, the student council and to organise the welcome fayre and induction activities in September. This involves paid work for any students who would like to get involved.

So if you have any ideas or would like to get involved in something a bit different while here at college or perhaps you might just want some confidential support and advice. If so you can contact me in room A19 which is near the main reception just ask for Richard. Alternatively you can leave a message for me in student services room A24.
